Aromas combine fruity blackberry, cherry and raisin, earthy capsicum and oilskin, and spicy nutmeg. It is round, supple, and juicy in the mouth, and flavoured of blackberry, blackcurrant, bramble fruit and plum, leaving a clean, toffee-tinged finish. Primary fermentation, partial carbonic maceration and full malo-lactic fermentation were completed in neutral oak. Most of the wine remained in barrel, except for a 5 % portion that aged for 5 months in a ceramic orb, followed by 11 months in barrel.
